After 10-year-old Morgan’s family moves from Washington, D.C, to rural Pennsylvania to take care of Morgan’s grandmother, Morgan discovers her grandparents used to run a dog kennel that bred the most prestigious mountain dogs in the country, and she decides to raise one of the new puppies as her own while working to re-establish the kennel—but not just for pure breeds this time around.
