Grace Hansen
A graduate of the American Film Institute Conservatory, Grace Hansen is a Los Angeles-based writer who focuses on young adult dramedies, family comedies, and legal dramas. Her stories revolve around growing up in small town America, navigating familial relationships with humor, interrogating complicated legal journeys, and not giving up on, in the words of John Prine, “the glory of true love.”
Grace’s screenwriting has been recognized by The Black List, BlueCat, The Golden Script Competition, and the Athena Film Festival. Her non-fiction has been published by Center for Humans and Nature, Town and Country Extra, Mongabay, and Back Sports Page, among others.
Grace also happens to be a lawyer, journalist, and high school teacher, but when she’s not working, she loves wandering through the woods with her dogs, overestimating her hiking ability, and finding new reasons to watch old TV shows.
